The post Jake Paul vs. Anderson Silva: How to Watch, Start Time, Everything to Know first appeared on Joggingvideo.com.

Jake Paul‘s next boxing match is just days away. After multiple false starts with previous opponents like Tommy Fury and Hasim Rahman Jr., Paul finally has a dance partner. This time round, Paul is fighting another aging MMA fighter, but no normal aging MMA fighter. He’s boxing one of the greatest MMA fighters to ever grace a UFC cage, the legendary Anderson Silva.
“My toughest test yet,” Paul said in a tweet announcing the bout. “I respect the legend, but he must be exterminated.”
After a glittering career in the UFC, Silva is arguably the greatest mixed martial artist of all time. At the very least he’s in the top five. Silva broke multiple records during his reign as middleweight champion, but it’s the style with which he destroyed his opponents that made him legendary. This is, however, a boxing match. That being said, Silva is also an extremely competent boxer. Make no mistake, this is an interesting match-up.

“I know that in life everything has its purpose,” Silva said in a statement sent to ESPN. “Nothing comes just by chance. So I thank God for my health, my family and my team for providing me with this opportunity to continue doing the thing that I love the most. I believe this will be the biggest combat event of the year and will truly make history in the sport forever.”
So far the build up to the fight has been remarkably respectful. Please enjoy the two dancing together in front of a green screen.
Silva’s still got it.
Jake Paul vs. Anderson Silva is set for Oct. 29. The fight will take place in the Gila River Arena in Phoenix.
Jake Paul vs. Anderson Silva will be available to watch on Showtime PPV for $59.99.
The PPV event is set to kick off at 9 p.m. ET (6 p.m. P.T.) but the actual main event between Paul and Silva is expected to take place at around 11:30 pm E.T..
As mentioned above, Silva is one of the greatest fighters in UFC history. After defeating Rich Franklin for the UFC’s middleweight title in October 2006, Silva went on to hold that title for a record 2,457 days. His 16-fight undefeated streak in the UFC is a record that stands to this day.
But it was Silva’s fight style that made him an icon. A flashy, elusive counter striker, he did things that felt impossible. Fighting with his hands down, landing outlandish kicks, knees and punches from wild angles, Silva is essentially the Roy Jones Jr. of MMA. For many, he’s the greatest martial artist who’s ever lived.
After eventually losing his title to Chris Weidman in 2013, Silva had a difficult run of losses, resulting in him leaving the UFC in 2020 at the ripe old age of 45. Since then he’s had a remarkable resurgence in boxing. Most notably, he outclassed former world champ Julio César Chávez Jr. in an eight round boxing match.
You’re probably aware of Paul, the social media personality who first made it big on Vine before moving across to every platform in existence. He’s moved into boxing in recent years after fighting on the undercard of brother Logan Paul’s viral boxing match with UK YouTuber KSI. He showed a talent for boxing and has been fighting ever since.
Paul has also moved into promotion, co-promoting a huge fight between Ireland’s Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano, which was one of the biggest female boxing matches of all time.
Paul has been selective about his opponents to this point, which is smart. Every new fight is a step up in competition, but this one is unique for a few reasons.
Size is perhaps the most important. Every other Paul fight, until this point, has been against a dramatically undersize fighter. Paul has a fighting weight of 190 pounds, but in his last fight, faced off against Tyron Woodley, who in his prime in the UFC, competed at 170 pounds.
Silva was the UFC’s middleweight champion with a fighting weight of 185 pounds. Not only that, he regularly stepped up in weight to fight in the UFC’s light heavyweight division. Arguably his best ever performance — a spectacular dismantling of former champ Forrest Griffin in 2009 — took place in this weight class, at 205 pounds. Unlike Woodley, Silva also has previous experience in boxing. Most recently, he’s dedicated his focus to the sport, putting together some extremely impressive wins. Silva is also one of the most lethal strikers in MMA history.
But Silva is also 47 years old. That’s pretty old. Ancient in terms of combat sports. To be clear, he’s not a normal 47 year old, but age is still a massive, massive factor.
I guess we’ll find out how much of a factor this weekend.

]]>The post Huge Grand Theft Auto VI Leak Reveals Early Gameplay Footage first appeared on Joggingvideo.com.
]]>
Gameplay footage of what appears to Grand Theft Auto VI has been posted online this Sunday, in what amounts to one of the biggest video game leaks in history.
Grand Theft Auto VI is the highly anticipated sequel to Grand Theft Auto V, which is one of the most successful video games in history, selling 169 million copies and generating over $6 billion in revenue.
A user on GTAforums appears to be behind the leak and has posted almost 100 videos of the game in action. Unlike official gameplay trailers we’re used to seeing, these videos feature unfinished elements, including placeholder textures and unfinished character models. Many of them are short. One, which is a little more extensive, shows a male and female character robbing a diner. Others feature a woman visiting a strip club, one clip shows a poolside conversation. This is very much par for the course in Grand Theft Auto games, all of which feature missions very much like this.
The addition of a female playable protagonist also reflects much of what was reported by Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier about the upcoming Grand Theft Auto VI game, which is apparently two years away from release. Other details, like the game’s setting, in the fictional city of Vice City, appear to be confirmed in the leaked footage.
In a tweet, Schreier said he confirmed with sources at Rockstar that the leaked footage was genuine.
“Not that there was much doubt, but I’ve confirmed with Rockstar sources that this weekend’s massive Grand Theft Auto VI leak is indeed real. The footage is early and unfinished, of course,” Schreier tweeted. “This is one of the biggest leaks in video game history and a nightmare for Rockstar Games.”
Some gamers, used to polished footage of upcoming releases, reacted negatively to the early leaks, but games in early development usually look like this. Rockstar has reportedly been working on Grand Theft Auto VI since 2014. At this point no one knows precisely how old this footage, but as The Verge notes, the game appears to be running on RTX 3060 Ti and RTX 3080 cards, which means the build can’t be older than two years. With the game not set for release for another two years, this matches up: big budget video games that far from release rarely look close to finished.
Rockstar didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.

If you’ve spent any time on CNET over the past year, you’d be well aware that foldable phones are back.
And, as of right now, one of the top selling items during the Black Friday sales is a foldable phone. But it’s not a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 or a Microsoft Surface Duo 2.No, it’s one of these… things.
That’s an LG Classic Flip phone and you can currently pick one up for a ridiculous $20. If you went back in time and told 2004 me you could buy a phone like this for the cost of a DVD, I’d lose it.

Sincerely, one of these would work well for a kid’s first phone. Just something you could use to stay in contact without worrying about all that unfettered internet access. At time of writing it was No. 1 on Amazon’s “movers and shakers” list in the electronics section. Who is buying these things and for what reason? Some questions are better left unanswered.

WandaVision got off to a stellar start on Disney Plus and, for the foreseeable future, subsequent episodes of the show — releasing weekly — will dominate the service in much the same as The Mandalorian did in December/January.
What else is there to look forward to? Cheaper By The Dozen and its sequel make an appearance in Feb, as does five seasons of The Muppet Show. Flora & Ulysses, Disney’s first original movie on Disney Plus this year, hits the service on the 19th.

CNET revealed the news last week, but now it’s official: Amazon has announced that Prime Day will happen Oct. 13-14.
Prime Day usually takes place in mid-July, but was delayed this year as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. This year, as in 2019, the sale event for paid Prime members will last 48 hours as opposed to 36 hours.
The shift from July to October could affect the dynamic of Prime Day. It’s closer than ever to Black Friday and Cyber Monday, which also means it’s closer to the holiday season. What is usually an event for impulse, personal purchases could become an opportunity to stock up on gifts for the holiday season.

Will there be opportunities to pick up an Xbox Series X or a PS5? Difficult to say, considering that preorders are sold out, but we’re holding out hope. Worse comes to worst you could just buy another Nintendo Switch.
Amazon also tends to heavily discount its own products and services during this time. Last week, the company hosted its annual fall product launch, revealing a redesigned set of Echo speakers, the new Echo Show 10 smart display and an in-home security drone called the Ring Always Home Cam.
This time around, Amazon is attempting to focus more on small businesses. It’s planning to spend $100 million on promotional activities designed to send new customers to smaller businesses and has committed to another deal: Customers who spend $10 on smaller businesses before October 12 will be given a $10 credit to spend during Prime Day.
“In the midst of an unprecedented year, we’re committed to making this the most successful Prime Day ever for our small businesses and excited for Prime members worldwide to discover new ways to support local entrepreneurs and save big on everything they need and love,” said Jeff Wilke, CEO of Amazon’s worldwide consumer business, in a release. “This year’s Prime Day is the perfect opportunity for Prime members to get their holiday shopping done early from the comfort of their homes – and to have more time to spend with their families and friends throughout the season.”
Stay tuned to CNET. We’ll have details of all the best deals when and where they pop up.

]]>The post Xbox Series S will launch Nov. 10 for $299 first appeared on Joggingvideo.com.
]]>YouTuber Brad Sams on Monday leaked an image of the long-rumored Xbox Series S — a cheaper, less feature-heavy version of the next-generation console the Xbox Series X — along with a price: $299. After a few hours of speculation, Microsoft tweeted a confirmation. Then it revealed the Nov. 10 release date on Tuesday.
The Xbox Series S will be all-digital, have 512GB of storage, target 120 FPS at up to 1,440p, support ray tracing, variable rate shading and variable refresh rate. It’ll also offer 4K upscaling for games and support for 4K media streaming. Xbox UK announced a price of £249, too. (Australian pricing is unavailable, but the US price converts to AU$420.)
“Next-gen performance in the smallest Xbox ever,” read a tweet from Xbox alongside the photo. The shot shows the Series S with a controller for scale. More features, the tweet promised, will be announced soon.
A cheaper, less powerful and digital-only version of the Xbox Series X has been rumored for over a year, and was known as Project Lockhart. After months of attention concentrated on the Series X and PlayStation 5 — we don’t know the price or release date for either of them — speculation on Project Lockhart was sparked by a developer leak in June. Last month, leaked packaging for the upcoming Xbox Series X controller showed compatibility with the “Xbox Series S.”
Sams also tweeted footage of what appears to be comparison shots between the Xbox Series S and the Xbox Series X. According to a report from Windows Central, both consoles will be released on Nov. 10, but Microsoft only confirmed that the Series S will be out that day. The “more powerful” Xbox Series X will cost $499, according to that report, but this wasn’t confirmed by Xbox.
Separately, leaker WalkingCat tweeted an apparent Series S promo video revealing some of the console’s specs, but it didn’t include a release date like the official Microsoft version of the video.
Many people on Twitter have speculated that Sams’ leak may have been orchestrated by Microsoft. Although if that’s true, midnight PT is a strange time to drop the news. Either way, the Series S’ price is a pleasant surprise to those anxious about the cost of jumping into the next generation of gaming. It ends a long stare down contest between Microsoft and Sony. For most of 2020, it seemed like each had been waiting for the other to flinch first and announce the price of their new consoles.

After the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) submitted a draft regulatory code, designed to let Australian news publications “negotiate for fair payment for their journalists’ work”, Facebook’s Australia is pushing back.
Facebook Australia’s Managing Director, Will Easton, published a statement today claiming the regulations “misunderstands the dynamics of the internet and will do damage to the very news organisations the government is trying to protect”.
“Assuming this draft code becomes law,” Easton continued, “we will reluctantly stop allowing publishers and people in Australia from sharing local and international news on Facebook and Instagram.”
Easton believes the regulatory code is an “outcome that defies logic and will hurt, not help, the long-term vibrancy of Australia’s news and media sector.”
Stating that Facebook has invested millions of dollars in local Australian news companies, Easton also claimed the ACCC misunderstands the dynamic between Facebook and news organisations.
“The ACCC presumes that Facebook benefits most in its relationship with publishers, when in fact the reverse is true,” he wrote. “News represents a fraction of what people see in their News Feed and is not a significant source of revenue for us. Still, we recognize that news provides a vitally important role in society and democracy, which is why we offer free tools and training to help media companies reach an audience many times larger than they have previously.”
In a statement sent to CNET, ACCC Chair Rod Sims said Facebook’s threat was “ill-timed and misconceived”.
“The draft media bargaining code aims to ensure Australian news businesses, including independent, community and regional media, can get a seat at the table for fair negotiations with Facebook and Google,” said Sims.
“Facebook already pays some media for news content. The code simply aims to bring fairness and transparency to Facebook and Google’s relationships with Australian news media businesses.
“We note that according to the University of Canberra’s 2020 Digital News Report, 39% of Australians use Facebook for general news, and 49% use Facebook for news about COVID-19.
“As the ACCC and the Government work to finalise the draft legislation, we hope all parties will engage in constructive discussions.”
Google has also pushed back against the proposed regulations, claiming they would “put the free services you use at risk”.
In response, the ACCC claimed Google would not be forced to charge users, “unless it chooses to do so”. The ACCC believes its proposed regulations will “address a significant bargaining power imbalance between Australian news media businesses and Google and Facebook.”
Under the ACCC’s proposal, companies like Facebook and Google will have three months to negotiate with Australian media organisations.
“A healthy news media sector is essential to a well-functioning democracy,” said the ACCC, in a statement.

]]>The post Microsoft to continue discussions on TikTok purchase after talking to Donald Trump first appeared on Joggingvideo.com.
]]>
After reports US President Donald Trump is considering an order to force Beijing-based tech company ByteDance to divest ownership of popular social-video app TikTok, Microsoft has announced it will be “continuing discussion” on a potential purchase of TikTok after a conversation between Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and the President.
“Microsoft fully appreciates the importance of addressing the President’s concerns,” said Microsoft, in a statement. “It is committed to acquiring TikTok subject to a complete security review and providing proper economic benefits to the United States, including the United States Treasury.
“Microsoft will move quickly to pursue discussions with TikTok’s parent company, ByteDance, in a matter of weeks, and in any event completing these discussions no later than September 15, 2020. During this process, Microsoft looks forward to continuing dialogue with the United States Government, including with the President.”
On Friday Trump told reporters he was considering a ban on TikTok. Trump and his administration are concerned that data gathered on US Citizens could be turned over to the Chinese government. The US Army and Navy have banned service members from downloading the app to government-issued phones. Earlier this month, the US House of Representatives voted to bar the use of TikTok on all government-issued phones.
“We are looking at TikTok. We may be banning TikTok,” Trump told reporters at the White House Friday. “We are looking at a lot of alternatives with respect to TikTok.”
Reuters reported that, in response to Trump’s comments, ByteDance had agreed to completely divest TikTok’s US operations.
In its statement, Microsoft wrote it was planning to buy the TikTok service in the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand and would own and operate TikTok in these markets. Microsoft also mentioned inviting “other American investors to participate on a minority basis in this purchase”.
A large part of this potential deal would involve an overhaul of security.
“This new structure would build on the experience TikTok users currently love,” Microsoft wrote, “while adding world-class security, privacy, and digital safety protections. The operating model for the service would be built to ensure transparency to users as well as appropriate security oversight by governments in these countries.
“Among other measures, Microsoft would ensure that all private data of TikTok’s American users is transferred to and remains in the United States. To the extent that any such data is currently stored or backed-up outside the United States, Microsoft would ensure that this data is deleted from servers outside the country after it is transferred.”

]]>The post UFC 248: Adesanya vs. Romero first appeared on Joggingvideo.com.
]]>
Israel Adesanya is arguably the biggest rising star in the UFC since Conor McGregor. He’s a big deal, and if he keeps up his winning streak he could be an even bigger deal. When he knocked out previous champ Robert Whittaker in definitive fashion at UFC 243 (after the best walk-in in UFC history) you could almost hear the ka-ching of cash registers roll up in UFC President Dana White’s eyeballs. Adesanya is special. He’s charismatic, quick-witted, has a powerful social media presence on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. He might be the most futuristic striker in the game. He’s Anderson Silva for a brand-new generation.
But his next matchup is a test and a half.
SEE AT ESPN PLUS
At UFC 248, middleweight champion Adesanya is facing off against Yoel Romero, a dangerous fight for anyone. Romero is a tank disguised in human flesh. En route to winning a razor tight victory decision against him, Whittaker broke multiple bones punching and kicking him. Another previous Ultimate Fighting Championship opponent, Luke Rockhold, is on record stating “that man is made of steel.”
Every second you’re in the cage with Romero, you’re in danger of being savagely and violently knocked out and since Romero made weight, the fight is for the title.
But Adesanya versus Romero isn’t the only title fight on the UFC 248 fight card. Weili Zhang, the newly crowned UFC women’s strawweight, is facing off against legendary fighter Joanna Jędrzejczyk, probably the greatest female UFC strawweight of all time. That contest is a fascinating battle of power versus speed. Zhang is a huge hitter for the division, but Jędrzejczyk is lightning fast, technical and extremely defensively sound. The UFC could have a superstar on their hands with Zhang, the UFC’s first Chinese champion in any weight class, but beating Jędrzejczyk for the win is a massive challenge.
This year the UFC entered a new partnership with ESPN. That’s great news for the UFC and the expansion of the sport of MMA, but bad news for consumer choice. If you want to watch UFC live in the US especially.
In the US, if you’re looking for how to watch UFC 248, you’ll only find the fight night on PPV through ESPN Plus. The cost structure is a bit confusing, but here are the options to watch UFC on ESPN, according to ESPN’s site.
You can do all of the above at the link below.

Early prelims
Absolutely. This is a bumper card. Adesanya is always worth watching, and the co-main featuring Weili Zhang and Joanna Jedrzejczyk will represent the absolute highest quality in women’s mixed martial arts.
Outside those two big fights, there are a few interesting matches on the undercard. Sean O’Malley headlines the prelims and is a rising star in every sense of the word. There are highlight reel fighters throughout the PPV as well: Jingliang, Oliveira, Klose… so many great fighters. So many good matchups. This is a good one.
